Versailles Branch Closing

Dear Valued Members,
I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for your continued support of the YMCA of Darke County. Your wellness, community, and personal growth is at the foundation of everything we do.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of the Versailles Branch of the YMCA of Darke County, effective August 31, 2025.
Since opening in 1998, the Versailles Y has served as a hub for health, wellness, youth development, and community connection. Over the past 27 years, the location has been a gathering place for members who have built lifelong connections through fitness, education, and shared values.
Unfortunately, the Versailles facility has become increasingly difficult to sustain. Significant building deterioration, rising maintenance costs, and financial challenges have made continued operation unfeasible. After a thorough review by leadership and our Board, this decision was made to protect the Y’s long-term service to the Darke County community.
We share your sadness and remain committed to Versailles. We’ll continue exploring outreach opportunities and welcome your ideas for future engagement. Please remember that your membership, as always, still includes full access to the Greenville facility, as well as access to most YMCA locations throughout the country.
We are grateful for your support and your part in making the Versailles Y a place of strength, hope, and community for so many years.
Sincerely,

Sam Casalano
CEO
YMCA of Darke County
